My dear, the topic wasn't over what you did that made you having to wake up at an early time. It's about students not getting enough hours of sleep that make them so deprived that they are unable to focus during the day. So, if you sleep at 9 and wake up at 6, I'd say that's great and would stop being so superficial.
I definitely wished school started late;, it would help so much. I have to wake up at about 5:20 at times because I have 0 period that starts at 6:45. I definitely focus more school starts late because I have more time to sleep.
Yes.. I do not enjoy waking up at 6:00 AM every morning to straighten my hair, but everyone in school already know me by my straighhtened hair and I look better with it.
8:00 is a reasonable time. That is what time my students are to be in class. I do think however, no matter what time class starts there are going to be late students. Most not all students will just stay up the extra hour, and want to sleep later. I do remember when I was in high school being so exhausted on weekends that I slept a lot! So much in fact my parents were going to have the doctor check me for anemia.
u r a freak
okay, so i just started high school and we have to be on the bus by 6:50, so i have to wake up at 5:50, and the problem is, my melatonin doesn't rise until somewhere between 11- 3 in the morning (its quite random) and i personally think that I have a sleeping disorder, and that I might actually be able to get something higher than a D on a test if they would start school at 8. at least there would be that extra hour. sometimes i have to stay in cause I cant stand up because i am so tried, and i constantly sleep, meditate or daydream (quite deeply) during class, and I DO SERIOUSLY TRY TO KEEP MY GRADES UP!!! but i cant because I cant remember ANYTHING for a test no matter how hard I try. oh, and my weekends are the highlight of the week, not because i do anything but BECAUSE I DONT!!! oh, and my little brother naturally wakes up at 4 in the moring, and goes to school at 8. now, how fair is that???
Schools are putting to much work on the kids
i am doing a report this helps me
I'm 13 years old and I'm in middle school and I'm writing an editorial and I definitely think school should start later cause maybe homework can be done in the mornings, also kids who take the bus have to get up at 6 in the mornings, because the bus comes at 7:15. It's really hard to focus in the mornings (especially when we have an algebra test)
Starting school later in the day would help a lot of other kids catch up on some things that need to be done. Some kids dont have enough time to be able to do their homework, eat, and then get ready for bed. They have to try and cram everything together.
If you want to be an exceptionally RESPONSIBLE person, you should tolerate getting out of school at 7:30 or later as part of your RESPONSIBILITY for the privilege of being on a team. And frankly, I don't see any more merit in doing things early in the morning than doing them late at night. It's not the world's problem that you want to get up early! On the other hand, it is clinically proven that teenagers' body clocks are wired to fall asleep later and wake up later—no, it's not only kids who stay up until 3 AM who are tired in the morning. It actually is harder for a teen to get up early than a grown adult.
yea i would like to sleep in later cause i would pay more attention because i would be awake.
