In 2009, the Australian Goals for Schooling recommended that “Curriculum will be designed to develop successful learners, confident and creative individuals and active and informed citizens” (2009, MCEETYA, p.214). At Knox Grammar School we believe that the key to ensuring that the curriculum reflects the needs of 21st century learners so that boys are prepared for a changing world where creativity, and critical thinking and problem solving skills will be essential is through the transformation of programming and assessment, and pedagogy. I am committed to ensuring that our teaching and learning enables all boys to realise their potential and unleash their creativity. I am also a lecturer at the University of New South Wales in English Method and technology.
