Teacher of the Deaf and future Instructional Designer (1 year to go)
I am a Teacher of the Deaf. I have taught PreK-College level. Currently I am teaching in a P-12 setting. I am working on a doctorate in Instructional Design for Online Learning. I am a fan for technology as it is a connection to learning how for the population of learners I teach. The population of learner I teach are visual as is their language, American Sign Language (ASL). Many times there are gaps in language, exposure and experiences for the deaf. Simulations is a perfect way for to have close to a real experience in an array of things.
I would like to develop with someone simulations and instruction that will be beneficial to all learners in P-12 setting. I am open to ideas in other areas as well.
