I have been a teacher for 16 years and love working with students who have behavioral difficulties. I began as a substitute teacher, then an ESE classroom aide, and went on to get a Master's degree in Special Education, because I felt it was my calling in life. I have been fortunate enough to have earned the respect and honor from my fellow teachers and earned T of the Yr twice. I am only one of many teachers who should be honored everyday for their great dedication, service, and desire to lead the young people who are so often not given enough opportunities to learn positive behaviors that will allow them to learn academically. I salute all my colleagues around the nation who chose this very SPECIAL field in education! Kudos!!!!!!
