I'm an unapologetic "education transformer." While part of the "reform" community, I have decided to eschew the word "reform" because we have tried decades of reform, and it has failed miserably.

It is time to transform our "Government Education Complex" into and "Open Source Learning Network," where the money follows the child (not the bureaucracy) to a vast new array of educational services (new, independent schools, on-line providers, charter networks, tutoring services).
