I am currently Director of Student Services in the Mt. Vernon City Schools, a small rural community in central Ohio. Prior to this I have been a Special Education Coordinator in Ashtabula, Ohio and in Downers Grove, Illinois. My original training was in school psychology, which I practiced in LaGrange, IL for 11 years.
I am also currently a doctoral student through Capella University. I plan to do my dissertation on mental health in schools, probably with an emphasis on social, emotional and academic needs of students with various anxiety disorders. I am also interested in the entire range of mental health services (primary, secondary and tertiary) that we could - and should - be providing in schools.
