I previously taught high school and college, but I am currently the Assistant Director of East Carolina University's Writing Program. As assistant director, I coordinate programmatic assessment, work with faculty on their writing and writing pedagogy, and direct the WAC Academy, a series of workshops fashioned after the National Writing Project model of professional development for university instructors from across the disciplines. I also serve on the professional development leadership team for the Tar River Writing Project, our local NWP site, and I am on the board of A Bright Light Fund for ovarian cancer research.
I like working with writers at any point of the writing process, but I love when I get to watch them have an *Ah ha* moment. I enjoy bad tv and embarrassing movies, and I am not a great cook. My favorite part of the day is coming home each evening to my husband and son.
