Ms. Schoeman is an experienced environmental leader with expertise in green building design and construction, urban sustainability, organizational development, curriculum design, and financial planning. She recently completed the successful development, design and construction management of the EcoCenter at Heron’s Head Park -San Francisco’s Only Off-grid Environmental Justice Education Center.
Laurie has spent over a decade working with a diverse spectrum of communities, non-profits, and public agencies both in New York, Chicago, and San Francisco for a variety of organizations including: UNEP-UNHABITAT, Catholic Charities, Bronx River Art Center, Moore Iacofano Goltsman, City of Alameda, City of San Francisco, State of California, Environmental Protection Agency, City of New York, and Urban Habitat.
Laurie has also served as a public school teacher in the Bronx and is dedicated to enhancing science education in schools.
