Zachary came to documentary filmmaking from his roots in cultural anthropology. He has an MFA in film production from California Institute of the Arts and an MA in visual anthropology from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Drawing upon this background, Zachary easily creates deep connections with the subjects of his films and tells stories that draw them into new focus. The results are beautiful documents that enrich our understanding of the world.
He has worked on projects for National Geographic, HBO, Spike TV, MTV, PBS and produced a number of feature length documentary films. He is thrilled to be a part of the Edutopia team and looking forward to telling meaningful stories in the world of education.
