Dr. Lori Desautels, is a university supervisor for the Indianapolis Teaching Fellows and Teach for America programs at Marian University. She is an instructor at both the undergraduate and graduate levels at Marian University in Indianapolis. Before coming to Marian University, Lori taught emotionally disabled students in the upper elementary grades, worked as a school counselor in Indianapolis, was a private practice counselor and co-owner of the Indianapolis Counseling Center, and was a behavioral consultant for Methodist Hospital, in Indianapolis on the adolescent psychiatric unit.
Lori's passion is engaging her students through neuroscience in education, integrating Mind Brain Teaching and Learning Strategies into her courses at Marian. Lori has conducted workshops throughout the Midwest on Mind Brain Teaching and Learning creating two webinars and a series of articles for “Inside The School”, an online publication originating from Madison Wisconsin.
