I am a Web 2.0 fanatic and enjoy every opportunity within my job to utilize web apps with teachers and students. Dealing with seven schools at all levels, requires a lot of nimble scheduling and administrative tasks, but I am passionate that technology can solve issues of time constraints, engagement, motivation and global competitiveness.
Social networking is my other major passion. While my district has only recently allowed a few pages to be unblocked, I am trying to start a professional learning network with a couple of facilitators and within the rules my district has placed on us. We have Gaston Digital, a network, Twitter account, and wiki that we are trying to install among our teachers as a foothold that social networking is productive and does matter.
