Started teaching in Dayton public schools in 1968, retired from the Lagunitas School District in 2006, with a couple of stops in between, always approaching teaching as mutual discovery, engagement with and respect for the person no matter what the challenges. My husband filmed my last class. We recently completed a feature length documentary about it, called AUGUST TO JUNE Bringing LIFE to School.
