Grade 3 teacher in British Columbia, Canada. I've been teaching for 20 years. My degree is in Special Education which I taught for 8 years, and loved it. I've since taught in 1/2, 2/3, 2, and 3. I've been teaching grade 3 for the last several years in a predominately ESL school. It is very challenging and exhausting but I love the kids and work with a wonderful staff.
In my free time I love to putter in the garden, browse a bookstore, and spend time with my kids and dog. Currently I've been doing a lot of reading about gender learning differences. My colleague and I are trying out gender classes for reading. Exhausting but exciting too.
