Lessia Bonn here. I'm co-founder of I am Bullyproof Music, a turnkey interactive classroom music program that helps kids get a clue with a tune! And yes, we have lesson plans :-)
One of our songbirds is Jessie Bridges (dad's actor, Jeff) but most of the young people on our projects are the kid-next-door. In fact, that's how IABPM began; As kids kept knocking on my door with their dilemmas, it didn't take long to realize I could plant deep wisdoms into songs lyrics that stuck in their heads like glue--to help them get more of a clue!
Oh, the hugs of appreciate I received--in bucketloads! "Your songs are saving my life!""I made your songs my classroom hero for my hero project!" "I can use this stuff--it's deep'!" - from a 12 year old.
As we began recording our tunes in a shack, they became a library, which became VocalsByLocals.com. Full story of that amazing adventure (We were almost Glee! no kidding) on our Crew Story video at the site.
These days;
Alongside gifted classroom educator, Dru Frick, who has already been using our tunes in her classroom for years, we've created I am Bullyproof. Dru's lesson plans around our tunes are awesome and almost complete--soon to be up on Teachers Pay Teachers. Please check us out! Whatever (feels better) is really fun, Scary Guy is great for Halloween and against grumpy ghouls, and Fearless--with Jessie Bridges' voice? Very Special. Also, you should know, our Nonconformist tune once took over an entire school, making "different" the new cool. How cool is that?
Deep sigh. What else? It seems like this is probably enough :-)
