Joe Beckmann

Began with history at Columbia & Brown, then Black Colleges in the '60's; interdisciplinary instruction at Dillard, UMass, and Emerson; politics and ed policy in Boston, Chicago, and nationally; shifting into health care advocacy, arts, culture, and disabilities advocacy in the 80's; foundations and state/local ed in Boston & Philadelphia in the '90's; after school and community engagement in this past decade. Now organizing fora, conference, assessments, portfolios, and online documentation for k-12 innovation with Harvard, Lesley, and other area universities in a school system with 42 languages in high school, integrated voc ed, and dramatic, homegrown innovations.
