Language Arts Teacher, grades 6, 7, 8 in Florida; author; cartoonist
I've been teaching Language Arts in Volusia County, Florida since 1990 (a long time, I guess). I currently loop with Gifted students at my school for 6th, 7th, and 8th grades, and also teach "intensive" writing and advanced Language Arts for 8th grade. On the side I write books for Scholastic Professional, young adult novels (two published so far), and a comic strip about teaching, Mr. Fitz, for the Daytona Beach News-Journal.
