I am a creative and caring teacher with experience teaching in a small town private school, an urban public school and an urban charter school. I love working with students to help them reach their potential and am inspired by their ever-new and different way of seeing the world. My background to education is Spanish language, Cultural Anthropology, and Literacy. I've worked with migrant kids over summers developing a love of reading, while improving my own Spanish language skills. I've learned different cultural world views from my urban students while continually reflecting on the craft of teaching "at risk" students. My hope is to work in educational research at some point, but not until I've had more years in the classroom.
