My name is Dan Crofts. While not a teacher myself, I am very much interested in education from a research/writing standpoint. Both of my parents were teachers, and friendships with those who had a hand in my own education over the years has inspired an interest in the field of education and a desire to see our children served well.
I am a freelance writer for The Batavian, a local online newspaper (www.thebatavian.com). As a correspondent, I have written many articles on education and schools in Genesee County, NY. Additionally, I am an avid reader who likes to read on a variety of topics, and I tend to draw upon my own personal studies for ideas, comments, and reflections. I look forward to the opportunity to converse with and learn from teachers and others who work within the field of education.
