I have been teaching special ed. students for over 8 years. I started in 1990 and then stayed home with my own children. I have just recently returned to teaching full time. For the past two years, I taught in a partial inclusion class (it was really a sub-separate). I couldn't stand being so secluded and I thought my students missed out on a lot of the general ed. curriculum. I just started a new job in a new school system where I am an inclusion teacher. I love it!! There is a regular ed. teacher me and an assistant. I feel that I am a part of the class and the students receive the instruction that he/she needs. Right now I only have 7 students on my caseload so I am not complaining.
