Entering

Is there a limit to the number of entries that I can submit?
You may enter one photo per day during the entry period.

Can I mail in my submission?
Sorry, we do not accept mail-in submissions. You can enter via the form on our Facebook App or enter by sharing your photo with the hashtag #remakeclass on Instagram or Twitter.

Can I upload photos somewhere besides Facebook?
Yes. You can enter via Instagram and Twitter by sharing your photo with the hashtag #remakeclass.

In what format should I save my digital images?
The only restriction is a 50mb file size limit. The resolution is not restricted, so pretty much any picture can be used. The types accepted are JPG, PNG and GIF.

What are the photo submission guidelines?
Any photos of a classroom, school, or learning environment are eligible to win. You must also include a short tip about the space so others can learn from your ideas. Photo submissions may not include explicit material and must be original (created by the entrant).

Will my images be sold?
No. We will not sell your photo entry for a fee. However, by entering you do give permission for Edutopia to use your photo on its website, social channels, and in general promotions.

Prizes and Winners

How are the winners selected?
Every eligible photo will be entered in a random drawing at the end of the submission period and 5 winners will be chosen.

When will the winners be notified?
Winners will be contacted via the email address they provided on August 26, 2013. They’ll have 72 hours to accept, otherwise another winner will be drawn.

What’s DonorsChoose.org?
DonorsChoose.org is a website that provides a way for people to donate directly to specific projects at schools or in specific classrooms.

Can I put the gift card towards my own DonorsChoose.org project?
Absolutely. The gift card is yours to use as you’d like, whether that be donating to your own project, your child’s school, or anything else that interests you.

What if I need the prize the most? Can I get more chances to win?
Unfortunately not. However, you can increase your chance of winning by submitting one photo a day.

Voting

I just submitted my photo, why isn’t it on the voting page?
All photo submissions first need to be approved by the Sponsor before they are published. As long as your photo follows the guidelines, it will be approved and published within 24 hours of your submission.

How many times can I vote?
You can vote once a day.

Will votes increase my chance to win?
No. All photos will be entered in a random drawing to win one of five $2,000 DonorsChoose.org gift cards. However, we will promote the photos with the most votes in our e-newsletter and on Edutopia.org.
