Teachers can and should provide feedback to one another. Other sources of feedback include parents, students, and non-teaching staff.
It is the responsibility of administrators to take this feedback and, along with the teacher, create meaningful evaluation.
Emphatic YES, YES, YES! However, I think the teachers should be trained in effective evaluation procedures and I do not think their input should be directly tied to employment decisions. I think the role of the teacher in the evaluation process should be to focus on teacher development and improvement!
