I think that we should get them banned from school because its a distraction, cheating, invasion of privacy, harrassment, and stealing (i have seen these things happen). Those are just some reasons why we shouldn't just not in soo much detail!! :]]
I believe that cell phones shouldn't be allowed because its too easy for students to be tempted to cheat during tests. parents can localize or contact students just as easy with the phone the office provides for them.
Cell phones should be allowed because some parents want their kids to call them after school. If a kids bus is late getting home a kid parent could get worried that something happened to their kid.It is also a way to keep in touch with friends. So I think kids should be able to have cell phones in school. With limits.
I personally think that we should'nt because they are disruptive and to many would be on them and not paying attention!
kids should have cell phones when my kids best friend dies he neded to know so i caled him they need phone for emergencys like that i need a phone wen im in school
i could think of a million reason why cell phones should be allowed at school, shall we start
: familly emergancy
ex. someone at home or you get injured, no matter what the situation, cell phones are 10 times more fast and efficent, you could call the school, wait for your kid to walk down to the office to talk to you, hopeing that they're teacher sends them down RIGHT AWAY,
Ex. # 2: say your kid has asthema, or several alergic reactions, they're out at lunch, havce an attact, or an alergic reaction, they dont have there pin, and they need there parent to bring them their pin or inhailer, but the cant make it to the school, and there no one else around, they could send a friend back to the school if theres one around, but they need to describe what pin it is, or what is wrong so that their parent knows what one to bring.
: calculator( of coarse under teacher suporvision)
research: yes cell phones have the internet, duh.
a student carries their entire life in that phone, say they get hurt badly at lunch or something, some one finds them doesnt know anythign about them, finds there cell phone, not only do they have something to call the police on but they have most of their information,
your right, cell phones can be a bad thing, if they're not used properly, but did you ever think that when you catch a kid on their cell phone ( and they're doing something they shouldnt be) that maybes its because they NOT ALLOWED in school, ever heard of rebelling against somethings, its because we as kids believe they should be allowed and yet we're being told we shouldnt so obviously we going to break that rule every chance we get, even if its not helping our case, everyone rebells, so give cell phones a chance, then judge the situation and deside if its good or bad,
its like drugs or alcohol, you can't do them , does that stop us.... no! its makes us do them more!.. if we were told we couldnt go to school, we would go, but no we're told we have to go, so alot of us, skip alot, or drop out.. its called rebelling!
you braught up a few good points, i still disgree with you which means you're " case" as you call it , wasnt quite good enough. if your going to say things like " my case rests" and make it sound like you should or are a big shot lawyer, therefor also dismissing the thought of cellphones because of what the ocaissonal person or teen age kid may or may not do, the least you could do is do a spell check, because in a court of law the points that you have broughten up wouldnt be takin seriously do to the fact that you obviously arent very liturate, so before you mouth off saying how bad or good something is, double check it, so that people like me dont come on here and read what you say and pretty much LAUGH OUT LOAD!, maybe if someone who didnt have many spelling mistakes, or who had a good vocabulary had made those points to me, i may have taken then a little more seriouse, this is not a diss, or was not ment to affend you in anyway, but dont come into a big kids world, and expect everyone to take you seriousely when obviously your not ready for this world yet.
just a suggestion : always read over what you write
yea right i thought of that!
i think they should be allowed in school because its easier to contact your son/daughter rather then calling in the school. and if a student changes there plans for an after school thing they should be allowed to use them. Our school wcscc will take your phone even if you are not using it ... even when its in your purse and keep it for two days ... now i think that is sooo wrong.
you r so right.because i go to a school where we never get time to our selves.
we cant even have cell phones out.
