Oh NOOOOOOOOOOO! Uniforms should not be wore. When I was in the eleventh grade I had to wear uniforms. They were suposedly a means for improving test scores.I guess the uniforms did not work because that particular school got shut down. So my twelth grade year I had to attended the school we consolidated with which didn't require the use of uniforms.
The moral of my little passage is uniforms don't change the ability of the person. My first school was no better than the second one, that didn't have a uniform policy.

i think dat uniforms dont change the way people feel about one another if a boy/girl doesnt like this otha boy/girl its not gone change just becaues they have on the SAME THING.. they will still find someway or another to dislike that person...so if you dont get what im saying by now then here it is in a more simple way... UNIFORMS DONT CHANGE PEOPLE OR THEIR ACTIONS.....

Who da hell wants to wear the same thing all the time and pluz u'll onli have 2 pairs that means u gotta wash em like everydai..and jus by wearin uniforms its nah gonna stop bullying! Clothes is not the only thing poeple get teased about. There's things like height, accent, and many other things soo jus cuz some ppl want uniforms that doesn't mean everyone shud wear em...and u shouldn't be afraid to stand up for your right and comfort!!!!

That is a really judgemental

That is a really judgemental statement. Uniforms do not decide who's stupid and who's not. I go to a public high school that doesn't have a uniform system, and I type, spell, AND pay attention in class. Rather than making it sound like people who wear what they like are just stupid kids that run thier mouths all the time, consider the fact that some people just don't give a care how they talk, write, type, or spell.
As though clothing would really have a say in all of it. I do take pride in education, and look forward to learning more.

There are those who live without religion, and thus they flock to society's fashion religion, but sir/ma'am, this is a matter of appearance and opinion, not a matter of heart.

I can only express my religion outwardly by dressing modestly and honoring God with my attire. There is a math teacher at my school who wears a head wrap
to signify her religion, if you'd like another example.
[Although, she's no student...] I do believe that religion should not become an absolute ace card to a dress code, however.

that seems completely

that seems completely redundant. if you have black pants, jeans, diff T-shirts,
and different shoes..

youve got a uniformless school. i go to public school..i basically wear all of that.so what youre saying is..you dont really want a uniform school.they wear repressed colors [ex. black, navy, white, gray], they put limits on hair, jewelry, and shoes..

seems to me like you are really better off with a better enforced dress code rather than uniforms. eh?

You have probably never been

You have probably never been hit by an extreme uniform control freakish wave,
only heard about a few things.

well dearest!
have we got a show for you!
all that stuff youve got pinned on freedom of makeup and hair?
oh theyve done it again.!
a] students are to be neat, modest, and well groomed at all times.
here, we will see all crazy makeup stuffs taken away because "they are too distracting to the school environment." we are no longer allowed to be showy or express in any way shape or form.

b] no extreme or distracting hairsytles, must be clean and well groomed. no unnatural colors. bangs must be above the eyes. length of boys hair?
no longer than the bottom of the ears on the sides. hair in back will be no longer than the top of a dress shirt collar.
The administration will make final decisions regarding hair.
and if they decide its not okay, you cant come to school until it is, and while youre gone, you recieve unexcused absences and 0's on every assignment!
what a wonderful world, no?
i'd be kicked out!

piercings are even limited. gages dont go beyond penny sized, and you can only have 2 in each ear.

so if you wanted uniforms, you may be given more than you expected.
some schools can put the squeeze on students. and other students would rather make a giant bonfire out of the uniforms than wear them. but you know, its all a difference of opinion and history. what ever floats your fishing boat!

and you dont have to worry about what youre going to wear tomorrow. at all.
so i dont really see your point in that. if its such a hassle, then stop caring.
wear what you got. forget coordination and cliques. or hair style or accesory.
its really a choice. dont worry about it :]

No sense?

Why do you have to worry about what youre going to wear anyway?
Youve really made no point.
Caring about appearance is a choice, if it bothers you so much, then you dont have to care.
the matter pertains to your own choice, others feel very differently
about this and LIKE picking out thier own clothing.
they wear what they like; comfortable, trendy, or out there!
Having freedom of choice taken away is something powerful.
appearance does not matter to everybody, some, like you, would rather not have the hassle.

i, for one, can wear what i wish everyday and still get my homework done.
uniforms would only aggitate me in the fact that i have to do laundry every other day and i wear the same thing all the time.
i like toss up. difference. individuality.
now, a not so strict dress code isnt so aweful. modesty is something a few schools are slipping grip on. but who decides slutty from not?

a fact of life: some people wont like what you wear
they wont like your hair style.
your make up [girls]
your face.
or mebe they just wont like you!
[not YOU you but generally everyone you :]]
its thier choice, i mean, comon!
if i hear someone tell me my hair is too short, or im too much of a jesus freak
im not going home to whine and brood on it.
suggestion, oh yes, it IS powerful and everyone has
a very broad need to be accepted.
but sir/mam, im not going home to grow my hair out or lose my faith!

so i end my rebuttal with a statement.
if you dont want to worry about tomorrows clothes, thats a choice! not a matter of uniforms in your school. people will always worry about something, its all about being comfortable in your own skin and learning how to accept others even when they are being rediculously vain.
