Video
What an inspiring and uplifting video! Many educators wonder if technological advances can actually make a difference and this really proves how helpful they are.
I think educators have a difficult time trying to include students with special needs in their classrooms, but this video demonstrates that through assistive technology, they can. Very nice. Please keep up so that more teachers can see how effective assistive technology is.
Assistive Technology
This is a video everyone should see to help inspire a creative environment in school and at home. All disabilities are so very different, yet there seems to always be a way to make a persons life easier and more enjoyable when we really focus and try new things. It's also important to remember that as a child grows and matures you need to re-introduce some of these ideas from time to time. You don't want to miss the window of opportunity that may help them to communicate or even excel in a certain area, especially when dealing with a young mind. I love the idea of watching the many different ways that people have learned to communicate like this video showed. It really helps me to realize that you need to keep trying different devises and have an open mind.
Thanks, Pam Carroll
Fabulous. Is there any way i could obtain a copy of this video. It will be a great aid in Teaching Teachers.

Assistive Technology: Enabling Dreams
I followed the link to purchase the video to be used in a graduate level course on AT, but was unable to find the title when using the search function. Is it actually possible to purchase this video?
Purchasing "Assistive Tech" video segment
This video segment may be found on the Technology Integration DVD compilation
Assistive technology
This was a glad story and the first time I had heard the term "Assistant Technology"
I believe it's something every school should have but I know that a budget issue for schools everywhere. Just think about the price of gas($3.29) in Memphis, so I know trying to get new equipment in schools is a budget problem.
I found this video to really portray what Assistive Technology is meant to do. Without the technologies shown in this video those students would be very limited to following their dreams. The technology is allowing them to accomplish what they really want to do. The technologies mostly make up for the differences the disability they have is holding them back from. There are so many technologies out there now that are very amazing. It makes me sad to think about others that are out there living with disabilities and not doing anything to make their lives better. Just because you have a disability does not mean you should not be allowed to follow your dreams!
