Mission and Vision
Led by a longtime advocate of public-education reform, the Jefferson County Public Schools are in the midst of a districtwide effort to prepare kids for success by weaving together their social, emotional, ethical, and intellectual education. CARE for Kids, now in its second year and spreading to more schools in the Louisville, Kentucky, school district, is designed not only to enrich learning but also to create confident and compassionate citizens of the world.
