I was having dinner with a teacher colleague last night, and the topic of YES came up. He'd seen some of the videos and read a few of the articles. He mentioned how great it all looked, but wanted some more details about how YES staffers handle the inevitable problems that must arise. We talked a bit about your RISE program, but surely there must be kids who are not cooperative.

What do you do in these situations ? Per a discussion in another part of this thread, it makes sense that RISE works for 80% of the kids - but how, specifically, do you handle the other 20%? I'd love for the various members of your team to weigh in, here.
