I'm planning to be blogging this year with a 5th grade Language arts class. I am hoping to partner with teachers doing something similar so that my students can get a sense of a "real world" audience. Is there anyone out there who would like to have their students read and comment on our class blog and vice versa? Please say yes! We will be reading a lot of material that children will be responding to, as well as having them experiment with different types of writing. I'd love to try doing some collaboration.

Hi,

I have been working with my 5th graders on a Reader's Blog. The write summaries of the book they are reading independently. We would be interesting in partnering with you if you are still in need of a 5th grade class to collaborate with.

Hi,
I have been working with grade IV students since 3 years.I have created my class wiki where students are going to participate in discussion and share their views. I would like to have a partner class to read and comment on our class wiki and vice versa.
We can bring meaningful learning and provide our students a real audience.

Hi Samina,

What will your students be discussing on the wiki? I you want to send me a link to it, then I could take a look at it. Here is my email address:

I currently have over 100 5th grade students using Edmodo to talk about books. It's been fun, but I think we need to add some new energy to the project so a collaboration would be perfect. I'm responding to this late in the year so you may not need anyone else to work with, but if you do please let me know.

Hi Shannon,

I think my students would enjoy collaborating with your students to talk about books. I would have to set up Edmodo accounts for my students though. We weren't that successful in our efforts this past fall. We think that the school filter may have been prohibiting some of the students from posting to our Collaborize Classroom blog. Perhaps you could email the link to your Edmodo blog so I could take a look at what you and your students have been doing thus far. Here is my email address:
