New to the Group
Hello, All! I am new to the group and new to Edutopia. I am excited to read all about Tech integration. I work in an elementary school as the computer lab instructor, but not for long. I have done this job for about 7 years and this is the last year they will have this position. I will hopefully get hired as an ITRT for our school for next year. Wish me luck!

Engaging with Appealing, Yet Practical, Online Methods
There are many educational online learning applications in a crowded marketplace. It is difficult for the teacher to discern which ones are worth spending valuable classroom time with. Teachers should carefully read the specific learning objectives, and how much class time should be spent on each lesson to meet unit goals. Is it an isolated skill-drill practice session? This is fine if it meets the child's formative assessment learning goals and priorities. The bottom line is that subject matter progress must be made.
