One day while shopping at our city art center's gift shop, I found a clay plaque with the word "begone" stamped in it. Deciding to see whether the kids who hang around my desk would get the 'subtle' hint, I hung it up on the wall behind my desk. It was there for a few years before a senior getting ready to graduate said she'd spent the past three years trying to figure out what 'begone' was. . . she asked me if it was a pasta. . . . .
