During one semester of biology, I had an entomologist visit my high school classes. He was quizzing them over various terms and they were doing a good job of answering correctly. Then he asked what the term was for the process of an insect going through different stages of growth. One student, who was a little too excited to answer the question, quickly blurted out "photosynthesis!"
