assessment sequence

I was wondering how many people have a sequence for testing students. Research in brain functions and learning is indicating that cognitive skills strength or weakness, can have a tremendous affect on the ability to learn. This means that a student who is identified with a learning disability many actually have a cognitive skill weakness that is interferring with their learning abiliities. It would seem logical to me to test for these skill first using the Woodcock Johnson
test for cognitive skills. Research is also showing that cognitive skills can be corrected and enhanced through training and practice.
