I've read several comments in various discussions regarding the use of video clips (from movies, television, etc.) that allow students to consider hopes, expectations, and guidelines for an effective learning environment and a positive classroom community. However, I have not seen specific examples that address this for use in elementary school classroom. I'd love to learn of some resources that I might use in my 5th- and 6th-grade classroom. Thanks for your ideas!

My school uses Discovery Education as a source for video clips. They have PBS content. I'm not sure how you'd get network shows w/o buying DVDs

You tube has many suggestions. I like the whole brain teaching approach that is modeled on You tube. Hope this helps! Jewell Frogel
