The media are reporting that the impact of this case has changed the way we respond to bullying forever. What do you think? Should the people who harassed this child be punished as an example to others? Or is it better to allow them to get on with their lives? Is it enough that they have admitted their harassment? Has anything really changed? MK

Hi Mary Kate,

Extremely sad case... I don't know if punishment or disciplining changes anything. There are so many cases of bullying that occurs. One of the issues with bullying is that it's under reported in school districts/schools. We're watching the Bully Project this week. I hope to learn more about this issue and share more info on it.

The Bully Project documents the lives of children and their parents who've been impacted physically and mentally by bullying. Here's their link http://www.thebullyproject.com/. It's being shown across the country we're pretty lucky to have it played here. I'm glad the issue of bullying is being addressed.

Wow! That's a film I'd like to see. I couldn't figure out from the website how to do that.

I think that you'll have to sign up for their enewsletter to get the dates. They are screening it all over the country. Think they are looking for hosts to hold screenings too! Maybe there's a school or community organization that might be able to do that. =)
