I am a teacher of gifted children and will be changing grade levels from 4th to 2nd next year. Also, I will be part of a team of educators who will be opening/building a new STEAM (Science, Techonlogy, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) program for our district. I'm looking for ideas on how a 2nd grade STEM classroom looks. I know I don't want it to looking like a typical 2nd grade classroom, so I'm looking for ideas. I know we will not have desks, but will have rectangular tables. There will be a huge technology component as well. I know that when my students and their parents walk into my room they will immediately notice it looks different than regular 2nd grade classrooms, but I'm not sure what that should look like. Any suggestions, or recommendations to pictures on the web? Thanks!

Where do you teach? In our district we just got a grant to fund a STEM program that also includes the Arts. We are calling it Cyber T.E.A.M.S. It is a K-9 program. I would love to hear what is going on in your district and classroom.

Hi all,

I have to conduct a workshop for teachers in my district regarding the integration of Science and Technology and would love some suggestions/resources. My audience spans K-8. Thanks a bunch.
