I have attended this workshop and it is a remarkable opportunity. Dear High School Teachers, Administrators, MESA Staff and CU faculty and staff, The University of Colorado at Boulder ATLAS Institute and Department of Computer Science in partnership with Google and Agentsheets Inc. proudly presents 2011 CS4HS “Computer Science for High School Teacher Workshop: Computational Thinking and Computational Doing.” This 2 ½ day workshop June 17 – 19, 2011 will provide participants with information about opportunities involving the use of computing ideas and skills in a wide range of disciplines and occupations that you can share with your high school students. Teachers who attend this 2 ½ day workshop will receive a $300 upon successful completion and provided all academic terms are met. There is funding assistance for travel and lodging for teachers wishing to attend outside the Denver Metro and Boulder area but funds are limited! College Credit MAY be offered (we are waiting for confirmation)! Any high school teacher, who teaches ANY high school subject may apply and can utilize the tools from the workshop for your class and students. Apply today! The deadline is Friday, May 13, 2011.
