Just as a note, Grindlebone Education and Arts and the Greylight Theatre, a group with which I'm associated, is making their "Exploratorium Book" draft available as a .pdf download. The booklet details the steps in creating an exploratorium/discovery center for schools, communities, and homeschool groups (including such topics as incorporation, audience, location, and insurance), along with some simple and inexpensive exhibit designs that were tested at the Southern Illinois Science Center over the summer of 2010. The draft is a part of a much larger work on education design which the Grindlebone Arts/Greylight Theatre Collective has been creating over the last two years, but we thought that releasing this portion of the Beta would be helpful to educators and that the feedback would be helpful to us. The download is available through Wild Shore Press at: http://www.lulu.com/product/ebook/the-exploratorium-book/14850606 and is $3. All proceeds go to the Grindlebone Learning Center project. Don
