Math Visualization - Using the Visual Cortex of the Brain to learn Math Concepts

I am working with two other people on a project that will bring visualization to mathematics that has never been done before. This kind of visualization bridges the gap between the abstract concepts of math we currently use our cognitive brain to deal with, and the visual cortex of our brain that we use to transfer concepts from working memory to long-term memory and storage. This project makes abstract concepts, such as polynomials to the nth degree, visual.

We are making a presentation at the Oregon Immersive Education Days Conference (http://it.uoregon.edu/events/uoied/) on October 14th at 2pm PST and October 15th at 9:00am PST in Eugene, Oregon. If you are in the neighborhood, feel free to stop by and talk to our presenter - Daniel Patterson.
