STEM education research

My name is Larry Conte and I am an MCLA graduate student enrolled in Philosophies and Methodologies of Inquiry - EDUC 783. I am a middle school math teacher and have a BS in mechanical engineering technology. I am planning to focus my research for the class on STEM education.

My reason for emailing you concerns forming a plan for research. It has been suggested that one should inquire with persons involved in the field as to what may be topics or problems that are in need of research.

I would appreciate your assistance in directing me or suggesting any topics which I might address.
