STEM education provides many opportunities and challenges. How can our practice evolve to meet the needs of 21st-century learners?
April 2010 NCTM middle school journal
This edition of Mathematics Teaching in the Middle School is a focus issue devoted to using technology in the math classroom. I just received mine yesterday and it looks like it is full of great ideas.
I'd love to hear from any group members who have tried similar ideas in their classrooms.

Web-based Mathematics Education (WME)
I am extremely interested in mathematics education in the middle school.
Our Web-based Mathematics Education (WME) project brings together an
interdisciplinary research team to create innovative math lessons on
the Web to aid middle school teachers and kids to teach/learn math.
See our project site: http://wme.cs.kent.edu
We had worked with a local middle school, Kimpton Middle School in
Stow, for a nubmer of years.
The site we used can be found at
http://wme.cs.kent.edu/kimpton/
If anyone wishes to try the materials in the classroom, you are
free to do so. Your feedback would be very welcome. Drop me a
line if you have questions or comments.
