Web sites with free resources for PBL?

Malaika Costello-Dougherty Former senior editor at Edutopia.

Hello,

I've been working on a story about the best free Web resources for teachers.

Anyone have experience using the Envision School's Project Exchange site?
http://www.envisionprojects.org/cs/envision/print/docs/750

Or have any sites you'd like to share?

I'm all ears (and eyes).

Thank you!

Malaika

Free Online Project Libraries

Malaika,
I am not sure what to do. I tried to paste in all my links to the project libraries, but the spam filter rejected them. I have tried not to post links directly to my site, but until we find a solution to posting them here, you can find links to online project libraries on my page here. Please make sure to look for the math links at the bottom of the page, as math project examples are generally hard to find.

Hi Tristan,

Sorry to hear about these technical problems. I'll report it to our tech folks. In the meantime, thanks for the link to your page. Looks great.

Hi Tristan-
Give this a try and see if it works.

If you want some text to show as a link, you have to post it using html code:
This is how the code looks:
<a href="http://www.thommarkham.com">ThomMarkham.com</a>
And this is the result:
ThomMarkham.com

To just show an actual URL (link), you have to make sure that the whole link is showing (including the http:// part):
http://www.thommarkham.com

Here's a short tutorial on linking with HTML code:

Let us know if this doesn't work.

Thanks, I had tried both of those. And now, when I put a few links, I get a Capcha that I can use to still post. However, I think that when I put a lot of links, it just rejected me outright.

Love the philosophy of your website.
'Learning that is relevant, playful and preparing students for success'
Sounds as though you might also believe that learning should be fun!!!
Your topics for inquiry learning are sure to inspire.

Hope that sparks ideas for us. It's a peer reviewed publication and is widely actually read by middle school science teachers (they have journals for elem and hs too.) Sue

www.starfall.com is a wonderful free website. It's geared toward k-3 learners to learn phonics. This site is fun, colorful and interactive and parts are downloadable.
