Anyone who has observed a classroom with well-designed learning stations knows that student engagement is high, curiosity is engaged and self direction leads to higher interest and motivation. Anyone who has observed this in the classroom has most likely seen it in the elementary school grades. Middle school and high school age students can also benefit from a well stationed classroom environment. What are some successful examples of stations in the upper grade levels?

For secondary students with spelling challenges, there is a self-help program with a virtual teacher on audio. This is a self-help, self-paced program that can be done independently with one student using a book and audio. This frees up the teacher to work with other groups. A teacher can also run the program without audio, but for centers and differentiated instruction, the audio is fabulous. The audio can be downloaded or bought on four CDs from http://spellingsuccesssystem.com/. There are free tips for spelling success on the website, also.
