Hey everyone. I'm in a class where I have to make a website and focus it around where I start student teaching. What do I need to say about myself? What do I bring to the classroom? What could I saw for a disposition statement? I need a mission for the class. I also need to explain my goals for the class, and what I hope to accomplish. My teacher didn't say what subject I should focus around, or should I focus on evry subject? I'm just overwhelmed I think. I may be over analyzing this. I'm sorry if my questions sound stupid, but this is for a grade, and I do want my website to look good. Thanks alot!

Hi...Are you really having to do a website? or a blog site?
Here is a good clean example of a teacher's website. http://www.kylepace.com/
The company that made his website, helps educators create theirs, for a fee of course.
You could also use posterous.com. Its a very easy way to create a website.
Blogger.com is the easiest way to create a blogsite.
Megan's website on Edublogs.org will also give you an excellent example of a teachers website. http://middleschool101.edublogs.org/

I hope this helps!

Let me know!

Best,
Lisa

Yes. I have to do the website through the site my teacher gave us... teacherweb.com. We're given a code, so it's free for us for a while. I've finished my supply list, my "made up" homework, and announcements. I also have to make a quiz, which I think I'll do tomorrow. It's the "About the Teacher" I'm stuck on. I don't know what to say about me. lol

Well, I got a 13/15. I don't like my website. I don't quite much like the site we had to use. I mean it was easy to fix, but... Anyway, thanks for the help, Lisa!

Brittany...wow, 13/15 that sounds pretty good to me! I know it must have been hard to do with a site that wasn't your "cup of tea". But you did and now you can move forward, hopefully with other great projects!

Keep in touch!
