Getting Kids to Listen
I am writing an ebook for Funderstanding about how to get kids to listen effectively. This is for educators and parents.
Does anyone have any effective strategies they would like to share?
Thanks,

Listening
Getting students to listen is difficult. Everyone knows this. Focus all your posters towards the front of the room, this way students are encouraged to look forward and be somewhat attentive. This may make your room look awkward (or cool) but thats ok, the feedback that I have received from students has been positive. The classroom is a place where learning takes place, teachers shouldn't get too caught up in the way its decorated.

Hey Jennifer,
This sounds like a great ebook! I want to make sure you've seen our classroom management group where there are a lot of great discussions going on about this topic: http://www.edutopia.org/groups/classroom-management
Feel free to post your question over there too. Dropping into one of the more active threads will probably help generate some responses.
