The Digital Divide is Still A Problem
Vic Sutton and I are part of two teacher groups and we work the digital divide and social justice areas.
We have just been to a lot of high tech workshops which prompted this blog on the continuing digital divide.

Mobile world is booming.
Mobile world is booming. People are using mobile for shopping, for driving directions, study and for business purpose too. Mobile web is proving to be a big tool for everyone.

Using internet for assignments
A challenge I have experienced is that students can't work on assignments at home if it requires internet or computers. I have found that digital divide in my classroom to be very difficult to overcome.
Possible Solutions
Is there a library in the community that can assist you?
Is there an organization like the Boys and Girls Club or 4H that have computers?
Some mobile phones are available on E-rate for student use. I attended the wireless
ed conference and they shared examples. I will post the link.
