Winter is quickly approaching and there's nothing better to keep teachers and students warm than a good book. I usually like to alternate between fiction and nonfiction books. Here's a few that are on my list this winter:

Fiction:
And the Mountains Echoed: A Novel by Khaled Hosseini
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton

Nonfiction:
Creative Confidence by Tom and David Kelley
I Am Malala by Malala Yousafzai with Christina Lamb
The Reason I Jump by Naoki Higashida.

What's on your winter reading list? What are you assigning to your students? Do you have a go-to winter reading list that you send home over the holidays? Feel free to share!
