Any predictions for the winners this year? The announcement will be made at ALA Mid Winter, January 18th, at 7:45 A.M. "When you Reach Me" by Rebecca Stead has been mentioned SO many times. My favorite 2009 title is "Heart of a Shepherd" by Rosanne Parry. It's such a positive realistic fiction title that has broad appeal.
I am getting ready to blog with my 5th graders. I am started with selected students who need an extra challenge to stay motivated. We are going to blog and share with students in another building. Don't have much more organized yet, the student interest will drive this project!
I have no idea, but would love to see "the Peaceful Garden" or "Duck Rabbit" get something for picture books. I am going to midwinter, though not staying for Monday's announcement ~ hope to hear the last minute buzz!
