computer lab - laptop vs desk top
Our elementary school is purchasing new computers for our computer lab. Would desktop or laptop be a better choice? Grades K-5 use the lab. Currently have desktops and a mobile lab with netbooks. Suggestions welcome for best option for student (ab)use.

We have both. Desktops take
We have both. Desktops take up a lot of room; kids have trouble with the mouse pad on the laptops!
We also have both.
We have a computer lab and a computer lab in the library for the librarian to use. The labs have full tower PC's with flat screen monitors. We also have two mobile laptop carts. The desktops are generally far less trouble. Even though we have wi-fi through the building the laptops still have occasional problems with connectin to our network. Plus I have at least three laptop that need to have their keyboards replaced.(After l year of use.)
