It is time to replace the large playground equipment of our school, which is in disrepair. To make this investment in our students' physical and social education, we ask for your help. Every dollar counts and no donation is too small. Thank you for your generosity!

New to teaching but ready to make real change in education

I work in a building of veteran teachers that line up their desks and teach to the students in their class. They encourage me to keep my kids quiet and structured so they know how to behave in school. I know I am new, but I know enough that this is not how students learn. I don't want to teach like I was taught growing up. I want to facilitate and encourage self guided learning through discovery. My dreams are big even when support is small. Because of this I am on a mission to get technology into the hands of my students to show how change is necessary to prepare all students for the future. I have set up a gofundme at:

"This computer is too slow!" is a complaint I often hear from my students. Trying to teach 21st Century Skills with outdated equipment is nearly impossible. My students are young, inquisitive, and creative. They are eager to learn media literacy skills but are lacking the equipment necessary to help them achieve these crucial skills. Our school has limited funds to provide the most up-to-date technology. To help make these wishes a reality, please visit my Wish List at:

I ❤️ Edutopia!

My class has autistic, visually impaired students who thrive on using technology to overcome challenges, but my students need subdued colorful lighting to prevent sensory overload and headaches. My current fluorescent lighting makes focusing harder and more painful for my students and needs to go. So I am doing a Donor's choose project to raise money for Philips Hue lights that will work along with the Amazon Echo that I purchased for my room this year.

Please use the code SPARK to get your donation doubled!

Hi, we created a magnetic figurine toy that can bend into every letter of the alphabet, called Mister Alphabet. His goal is to bridge art with education within a hands-on learning approach!

Organize 2020 is the social justice caucus of the NC Association of Educators. Formed in response to ongoing right-wing attacks on public education, we recognize the need to build grassroots, democratic power focused on the needs of students and community first.

We are engaged in a statewide strategy to defend and transform public education, activating and training educators and parents across NC to address systemic racism and poverty not just in schools, but in our society as a whole.

In a right-to-work state, we have successfully fought off terrible teacher contracts, engaged in numerous solidarity actions with the Moral Monday movement, allied with the Fight for $15, and grown our internal membership through a series of Dismantling Racism trainings. Our fight is unique; we are building a teachers union in the South rooted in our communities.

We Need Your Help -- Please visit our Indiegogo campaign, watch the video with our story, donate and share with your friends across the country. The attacks to our schools are being funded by just a few people with a lot of money. We don't have the kind of money needed to fight that kind of power, but our goal is to have parents, teachers and students working together to build our own power to fight for the schools we all deserve.
Thank you, in advance, for whatever you can contribute. Every $10 donation pushes us closer to our goal!

I'm a music teacher in an urban school in the city of Pittsburgh, and we recently lost our Instrumental Music Program. Help me supplement our kids music class by incorporating guitar instruction into their music classes!

Check out my Donorschoose project... only $291.00 more to go!

Thank you for the opportunity to share! I had some success with Donors Choose last year during my first year teaching. Currently, I have a project going for new puzzles. My Early Childhood Special Education classroom has puzzles but most are very old, dirty, and missing many pieces. My kiddos get so sad when they get to the end of the puzzle but they can't finish it because of a piece being gone. We were supposed to be able to order some new ones, but two separate break-ins at our school have resulted in all extra money going to replace gone technology. Any little bit helps and my project is up for the INSPIRE code until July 16th!

S.T.E.A.M Nation is going to be an outstanding experience for those attending, volunteering, and exhibiting at the event. Last year I volunteered, and had a blast! Can't wait till Saturday, October 18th!

STAR Education, a nonprofit in Los Angeles with a 27 year history of success, is bringing equity to innovative learning by producing our second annual S.T.E.A.M. Nation event this October. Our goal is to bring S.T.E.A.M. professionals and 2,000 underserved students to West LA college for a day of inspiring performances and hands-on activities.

Please help us make this happen by sponsoring a student or sharing our Indiegogo campaign:
