Teacher Discounts
In the greater Cincinnatti area the store crayons to computers offers gently used items at discount prices to districts in need. I have heard this from several teachers at my university of study. Unfortunately, you have to be a licensed teacher and pre-service teachers do not qualify.
Teacher Discounts
Most book stores offer a discount. However, some stores require that the purchase be school-related.

Michael's Hobby shop 15% with I.D. or JoAnn's Card
Staples teacher's rewards program (great)I just received 70 dollars in rewards for the last 6 months.
School supply stores(my local store is Learning Depot in Florida) usually 10%.
In Sarasota the Ringling Museum provides free admission.
Sea World and Universal in Florida provide teacher discounts from free days to discounted tickets.
These are the ones I can recall at the moment.
Sorry; an accidental repeat

I apologize for the back-to-back, but if you're in the Portland, Oregon area, Schoolhouse Supplies is a free store for teachers! If you're not on the list to shop, all you need do is volunteer for 3 hours to earn a shopping voucher. check them out at www.schoolhousesupplies.org for more info. I have been involved with them for 8 years and it's FABULOUS! Just last year alone, I shopped for over $30,000 dollars worth of all sorts of supplies for Waldo Middle School in Salem, Oregon.
