Hello everyone! I realize this is an international community and our event is very much a local happening (Southern New Jersey / greater Philadelphia area) but we can use all the publicity we can get! PadCamp (http://www.padcamp.org/) is a FREE unconference devoted to exploring the use of tablets, e-readers and other handheld mobile devices in K-12 education. It will be held on Tuesday, August 9th from 8:30 to 4:30 at Galloway Township Middle School in Pomona, NJ (see the link above for directions). If you are unfamiliar with the "unconference" model, watch this brief video for an overview of a similar event - edcamp philly: http://vimeo.com/16592733 You can expect a day of unstructured, relaxed, thought-provoking learning among people both experienced with these devices and those seeking knowledge about them. This event is FREE! A light breakfast will be provided (and possibly lunch too, we are working on that!) We have many wonderful sponsors (including Edutopia!) to help us defray the costs of the event. We're also getting some nifty door prizes to give away! We hope you will be able to join us on Tuesday, August 9th at Galloway Township Middle School in Pomona, NJ for PadCamp! For more information, visit our website, http://www.padcamp.org/ or email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions! Kevin Jarrett PadCamp Co-Founder
